My way or the highway
I am interning at a company where I have to go just once in ten days, that too for an hour or two. So the title of this blog completely justifies my current situation, 'I have nothing else to do'.
Since I have started so I have started reading too. But most of the books I read are lame. I mean who writes close to three hundred pages on her attempts of losing virginity? And that too, the writer is a girl living in Mumbai, all alone. How hard is it to get laid in such a situation? But she wants the guy to be prince charming, he should be good looking, well read, suave, sophisticated, in short he shouldn't lack anywhere. Was she perfect in every sense, that she expected the same out of the guy?
It's been long since I haven't written a story from a girl's point of view, basically because no girl ever drops in any incident of her life. So I would write this story of a girl whom I knew some time back.

I used to hate going to my college Fest because it was way too crowded and I didn't like crowded places. But my friends forced me this year to go along so under peer pressure I had to go (I still regret that).
I was standing near the canteen when he approached me. He asked me the way to the water cooler. I was so mesmerized by his looks that I couldn't even utter a word. I just pointed in a direction. He thanked me and went.
After some time, I felt a really strong fragrance. I had felt it earlier. It was the same guy. He came up to me and asked "Are you from this college?". I said "Yes, I am in second year. Why?". He said "Nothing, it's just that when I earlier asked you the way to the water cooler, you sent me to the girls' washroom". I realized that I had committed a blunder so I tried to cover it up. I said "oh, you said water cooler, I thought you said washroom". He said "What would I possibly do in a girls' washroom? Wait, don't even answer that".
We laughed over it and then got talking. He said "My name is Akash (fictitious name), but friends call me Aki". I said " Hi Aki, my name is Manya (fictitious name)". He said "you called me Aki, is that a subtle hint that we are friends?". I blushed and said "maybe".
He told me that he had recently graduated and was a big shot entrepreneur. It was getting late so I had to leave. He said "Since you helped me out with water today, can I help you out with some other drink sometime around?". He was a pretty smooth talker and I liked it. We exchanged numbers.
He called me up the next day and we decided to meet up at a food joint outside my college. There are a lot of guys who look hot, but there are only some of them who look gorgeous. Aki was one of those. He was wearing a black shirt, half tucked in, a pair of blue denims and slippers. To top it all up, he was wearing really cool wayfarers. It was a really nice date. He was really suave, he even opened the car door for me. When he was dropping me off, I don't know what got into me. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed me back passionately. He made the first kiss of my life quite memorable.
We used to meet up every other day. I used to live alone in my flat so whenever he used to come, the girls from the adjacent flats used to come just to catch a glimpse of him, he was that gorgeous. He used to take care of me like a baby. Since I used to live away from my family so I was often low but he always used to come and cheer me up. He even bought an LCD for me to deviate my mind.
I used to really love him and everything was perfect.
The End
We all know what happens after this. They stay in the relationship for a couple of more years, get married and stay happily ever after.
Well, that didn't happen. A couple of months later, Manya finds out that Aki is married and had lied about everything. So she breaks up with him.
So what is the whole point of getting into this vicious cycle? But that is just my view, I don't want to mislead the 'gullible' readers. But as someone recently suggested after the last post, it is my blog, so it's my way or the highway.
