My name is khan and I am not a terrorist
Lately, no one has written to me, my college will recommence in a
few days, I am done with my internship, swimming and gym. I have watched all
the good movies that I have, the novels I have been reading have turned boring
and I don't have any girl in my life to talk to and pass my time so literally
'I have nothing else to do'.
Someone asked me what I meant to convey when told you guys that in
reply to a question asked by one of my ex-girlfriends, 'who do I think I am?',
I said 'Sidhant'. Well, I meant to convey that I am a heartless guy and I am
happy in life because I have no heartbreaks and I can focus on other important
things in life, which brings me to the next question, someone wanted me to
narrate some love story of mine. Well, frankly I haven't ever experienced love.
I mean every time there is a new girl in my life, I think it is love, but as it
turns out, it is just habituation of lust.
Coming down with more nonsensical stuff, I recently found out that
for my last semester in college, I have been allotted a room with Jahir Khan
(fictitious name).
Generally after the name of any character, a writer writes the
physical description of the character so that the reader can visualize him
better. Well, I am a novice at writing so I would just ask the readers to visualize
Rajpal Yadav because Jahir is his lookalike.
Jahir started his college life with our batch (although he was 4
to 5 years elder to us even back then) and looking at his current situation I
think even our children will graduate before him. In each course, there are
roughly five exams- 2 quizzes, 2 minors and a major. There are courses for
which he has already opted for thrice and hasn't opened his account on the scorecard.
Around the time the Shah Rukh Khan flick, 'My name is khan'
was released, he was writing on the walls, ' My
name is khan and I am not a terrorist' (he wrote that just on the wall of
his room but I wanted to add the dramatic effect).
I remember, once he annoyed one of influential guys guys
(influential guy in an IIT means someone who has failed the maximum number of courses and also has a good rapport with the guards
and able to sneak liquor and weed into the hostel) in college. It
was exam time, he called Jahir on the roof of the library and said "Hutch
ke Chote recharge, I use more condoms in one night than the total number of
years you have lived on this planet, just stay in your limits" (He said
all this in Hindi with abuses so it was much more fun).
Jahir bought a crappy tee for five thousand bucks just because it had
'Calvin Klein' written in bold on the front side and till date whenever I have
seen him, he is always in the same tee.
But, no matter how much I make fun of him, even Rajpal, oh my bad,
Jahir has a girlfriend to whom he must be talking to right now when I am
just killing my time boring you guys.
So, I will keep you guys posted about any new updates on the
Jahir story because it seems I will be spending a lot of time with him in the
coming few months.

Hahaha your definition of influential :D Calvin Klein and Zara are overrated or maybe I say this, because I can't afford either :P
ReplyDeleteAlso on another blog post you've mentioned that you thought it was love whenever a new girl entered your life, but it was lust. I associate with that part except the lust part. In fact, I was just reading somewhere today of a man wanting to get into a relationship to kill his loneliness. The intent behind entering a relationship is superbly important :)
Think I may just read all your blog posts today, not because they're good, but because I'm bored :D :D
They're actually good :)
