Girl in Pink (GIP)
People often question me about the infrequency of the posts on this blog.
First of all, it's mah blawg, mah rulez.
But still, I will explain the concept behind my blog in a more lucid way. I started off with this blog two years and have written more than sixty blog posts. I write this blog in the first person, so I basically narrate incidents of my life and people who come in and go out of my life (mostly girls). In the initial phase of the blog, I narrated incidents of my past life (you can read more about my past life at http://onceuponatimewhenidied.blogspot.in/). I ran out of those incidents in the first six months of the blog.
After that, the blog posts became more like diary entries. I started narrating the interesting incidents happening in my day to day life. I try to sketch out the girls who impact me in any way, with my words. The reason behind the infrequency is the fact that no girl stays in my life after the blog post because of reason or the other. Sometimes she finds me a creep, sometimes, she moves out of town (not because of me, but generally), other times her boyfriend comes back in town. I have stopped believing in the word, 'coincidence', everything happens for a reason, one of the reasons is that the blog needs to go on, another one could be that every girl who left, left probably to lead me to the girl who was meant to stay. Anyway, after each girl leaves I suffer a writer's (pseudo writer's) block. The time between two blog posts is mostly taken up by the cope up mechanism.
People say to be a successful writer, one needs to experience the pain of separation in his life, I don't know whether I'll ever become a successful writer, but I experience that pain every month.
Anyway, back to the blog curriculum. New blog post so new girl. Men in Black (MIB) were called so because, from head to toe, whatever they wore was black in color (except a white shirt). Going by that logic, I should call her Girl in Pink (GIP). When we met, everything she was wearing, from hairpin to slippers, was pink in color. I wish, I was wearing everything green, so that I could compliment her constantly, all the time I was around her (pink and green are complementary colors).
After coffee, we went out for a walk. I just couldn't figure out what was more pleasant, the weather or her company. I had to go to the gym at 8 in the morning next day, and after that to the office and I could just stand there all night right next to her, just gazing at her. Her beauty was so captivating.
And I haven't got started about her intellect. After two years of blogging, I have become really good with words. In fact, my senior at the office, calls me a random word generator on the lines of the random word generator function in Excel. I can babble on and defend my views on any topic, even if I have no knowledge of the subject. She is the first person I have met in years, who has able to successfully counter my views on philosophy of life, and make me silent.
After my most recent car accident, I quit driving. I was travelling by the metro that night. It was past 11 at night when she dropped me at the metro station, and I was desperately wanting that I miss the last metro so that I could spend more time with her. I even fought with the guards at the metro station so that they get pissed and don't let me board the metro, but all the efforts were in vain and I had to board the last metro and reach back home.
I was very skeptical about writing about her, because every girl about whom I have written, hasn't stayed in my life after that, but then I couldn't just stop myself from venting out my feelings about her. It's anyway been too long that I am stuck just on this blog, I need to diversify my writing a bit and get something bigger and better on my plate too.
