Official Chocolate Boy
So, I will be interning with Mondelez, the company that owns Cadbury, Toblerone, Oreo amongst others, next summer, quite likely in Mumbai. A friend of mine wrote on my Facebook wall, and (after I begged her to do this) called me the 'official chocolate boy'. Whenever I tell people about my internship, their eyes gleam up and they request (order) me to get free chocolates for them. I am interning with them for two months, not buying the company! One of the greatest selling products of the company is Halls, and I could very well be stationed in Banaras, selling Halls and Eclairs to 'paan wallas ' .
By the way, the girl I talked about in the previous post( dry state), shifted back to Ahmedabad, but I am not in touch with her (it is the other way round), she preferred a pussy cat (pun unintended) over me.
I wrote that in August, it is almost February now, you can figure out the level of my social engagement with girls at IIM Ahmedabad.
It was around three in the afternoon, I had gone to the library (wait for it), to return two novels, which I had taken two weeks back (never even opened them), otherwise, I would have been fined two rupees per day. While I was walking towards the library, from a distance, I saw a girl with a camera clicking a picture of the library entrance. Every day, I see numerous people clicking pictures, all around the IIM campus. A classmate of mine told me that they do that because they 'look up to' this place. A funny incident had happened the other day, I was standing outside the library, there some students from other colleges clicking photos. I was on the phone, there were two on my right and one on my left. I thought that I might be blocking the view, so I decided to move, but they asked me not to, and apparently wanted a picture with me.
Back to today's incident, when I reached the library, I glanced at her, what I noticed, was not her surreal smile emanating joy or her sublime beauty, but her pants! They were the loose ones which artists wear while sculpturing. Well, because I have nothing else to do, I went to her and started chit chatting randomly. She is an architecture student in her final year and was here to click photos of the campus to use in her thesis. IIM Ahmedabad is a structural masterpiece, and she knew more about the campus than me, although I have been here for over six months. The sunlight is blocked by the buildings surrounding the Louis Kahn plaza in such a way that it is able to reach different areas on the ground, one at a time. As I strolled with her around the campus, she told me some amazing facts about the architectural beauty of this place.
Coming back to human beauty, as I conversed with her, I figured out that she is 'doppelganger' of Kareena Kapoor's character from the movie 'Jab We Met'. But with an enchanting face like hers, she could pull anything off. We even watched an episode of the Hindi television series, 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai' on my laptop, because her spontaneity reminded me of a character from the series.
I had heard that people give each other tokens of reminiscence on their first meeting. She gave me her shades, I gave her a handsanitizer kept in my room for the past six months, as I wasn't using it.
Then we decided to go to a famous river front in the city, on our way I saw a poster of a Hindi film industry superstar, Shah Rukh Khan. I immediately figured out that she must be a fan, turns out that she is not just a fan, but has twenty five hundred photos and ten posters of the actor in her room. In my view, he is a great salesman, who has poisoned the roots of Indian society, by selling a farce 'Raj', who doesn't exist. And Indian girls fall prey to that image time and again, his character never breaks anyone's heart or engage in flings, he falls in love with one woman, and all his movies have a happy ending. Be like 'Raj'.
While with her, I didn't realize how the time passed away, this is the effect of having a companion I guess. So, have I fallen for her?
Well, is in a serious relationship for the past three years, has her home thousand miles away, and I would probably never see her again.
