Be patient

So, a lot of people (2 or 3, who were mocking me) have compared my writings to the ones of an alum of IIM Ahmedabad. There a couple of stark differences which I would like to point out.
Firstly, his stories are with happy endings (compulsively), I try to keep my stories with open endings, where I leave it up to the reader to finish the story whichever way they like.
Secondly, his stories have a bit of mainstream humor; my stories are full of dry humor.
Thirdly, and most importantly, in his stories, there is similar reciprocation from the other end, in my case, the only reciprocation is, never meeting me again, not staying in touch on any of the channels, phone, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Mail, pigeons.

Coming to the muse of this blog post, there is a 'famous phrase.'
One day, someone will walk into your
life and make you see why it never
worked out with anyone else.
-just be patient
A few days back, a girl had asked me if there was one girl whom I could make stay back out of all the blog posts, who would that be (refer to the blog post titled 'Part-time womanizer')
I didn't know the answer back then, I know it now.

She is perfect in every sense; it felt like I have been handcrafted to be with her. She is incredibly gorgeous, but her impeccable beauty is just an add on. Her genuine nature is what I found the most captivating. That and her puerile smile, it is something which you see once in a lifetime. Someone like her is never single; I mean any guy would die (not actually) to be with her. She is almost 24, has even spent a couple of years in the US, but still, she hasn't ever dated anyone, except one in high school, which doesn't count. She had just one question for me when I told her that I am studying at IIM Ahmedabad. She wanted to know how we guys manage to get liquor in Ahmedabad, as Gujrat is a dry state. Gujrat is a dry state, is entirely analogous to 'lying is a sin.'

She has been born and brought up in Mumbai, in fact, she even warned the waiter who told us that the prawn dishes at the bar are out of this world. She said that she is a Maharashtrian, and would instantly figure out in case he is lying. We were out on the rooftop, the breeze was quite soothing, and everything seemed so perfect.

Or I felt so, in the next half an hour, her friends joined us, and our date turned into a friendly encounter with acquaintances. They were a great company, and it was fun talking to them, but that isn't what a date is, she barely spoke to me after that. I was quite dejected, asked her if she wanted to take a walk, she told me that I could leave if I wanted to. I told a friend of mine about the incident; she said that this is what she does when she has a horrible date, she calls her friends over. It was hard to believe as I thought that she was enjoying my company.

Well, I feel my friend was right, as that was it, she never met me again, and barely spoke to me ever since.
My impatience drove her away.

Later
