The tattoo episode
So, don't go on a date with me, make out with me or even sleep with me, if the sole motive is to get a blog post written about our encounter. Just be yourself, if it's meant to be, it will be. And I write from my heart, don't mistakenly aim a little lower.
I will tell you from where this is coming. A girl after reading my last blog post told me that she was disappointed as she thought that I would write about her. According to her, she thought that we had enough 'content' for the blog post. So let me make things a bit more lucid. This isn't a compilation of debaucheries; I genuinely express my feelings here, in fact, one day, I will even make my kid (just one) read this.
Coming to the crux of the blog post, the muse. She is the most beautiful girl I met in a long time. And she is quite good looking too. Let me give the backdrop. One of my closest friends has been back from the US for a few days. We were bar hopping, amongst the numerous good looking girls, all decked up in the high-end clubs in Delhi, she stood apart. It just wasn't the perfect looks; there were something quite magnetic about her. In fact, so much so, that I walked across the bar to the other corner and said,
"They will stop calling girls in bars, gorgeous after today; you have set the standard so high."
She thought I was inebriated and turned the other way.
We went to a couple of more bars, but I couldn't get her out of my head. I had to go to a friend's party after that, but I went back to the bar where I had first seen her. I went up to her table; she was with a friend of hers. I said
"So I am an MBA guy, and here's the proposition. Let me and my friend join you for five minutes precisely, if you don't like our company you will never see us again."
They were a bit skeptical initially, but then both of us are decent looking guys, so they agreed. As it turns out, they were running a startup. In a humorous manner, I kept on complimenting her now and then. After five minutes, I asked them whether they wanted us to leave. She said
"It 's hard to say no to a guy who pays you compliments, even the impertinent ones. Especially the impertinent ones."
We stayed there at the bar for some time; we had a lot to talk. It was a rooftop, and it felt quite pleasant, partly because of the company. We called for the check. They asked us whether we wanted to join them for coffee. We obviously agreed.
We went to a nearby Starbucks. While sitting there, she told me that I quite resemble a guy she had a crush on. I jokingly inquired whether that happened just a few hours back. We were discussing something the celeb couples. That's when the tattoo episode happened. I told her that I would have got a tattoo done for her like Saif did for Kareena, but tattoo shop won't be open that late. She got a marker from the counter and asked me to write her name on my hand if I meant it. I instantly extended my hand; she wrote her name on it.
Is this it? Did I finally find love? Well, it was around 2 in the night, and I had a flight to Ahmedabad at 5 in the morning. I earlier wrote that we had a lot to talk about, that was so because she is from Punjab, where I had spent four years during our under graduation. She is living in Chandigarh, was in Delhi just for her business meetings and wasn't keen on pursuing a long distance relationship.
