Yogurt Muesli Smoothie
It has been over two months since the last blog. The reason for the 'dry phase' of the blog doesn't necessarily translate into the protagonist's life. Honestly, with a strenuous consulting job, I haven't been able to channel my creative energies. But, it is 2 in the night, and I am not getting sleep because of a heavy heart due to a recent turn of events. The blog is my way of getting closure from an emotionally distressful situation. So if you actually did care for me (just kidding), you would hope that this blog ends.
So, coming to the reason; the muse of the blog post. The protagonist might have fallen for a number of girls, but never fallen so hard, except when I actually fell (refer to the preface). She is the perfect muse, and it is not just about her breathtaking looks, she exudes such charisma that can magnetically attract anyone. As I am not into texting and she works in Bandra itself so we decided to catch up post work. Those of you who know me well would probably know that I like to keep a watch on my calories. That's the reason behind the never-ending love with diet sodas. I asked her to pick up a place to meet up and instead of some loud bar, she picked up a health food cafe. I had grown a liking right there, not just because of the common food choices; but because of the confidence in backing her beliefs. She doesn't go to a bar or a party if she wants to 'chill'.
I have talked about the 'lemon law' in the past, it worked this time as well. Within the first five minutes of meeting her, I figured out that the blog will be my closure out of this situation. I had been to that place a long time back, so didn't quite remember what I had ordered back then. I ended up not liking the taste of my drink and was envying her for the tempting yogurt muesli smoothie. But that was just one of the reasons for the envy. I immediately started retrospecting on my life and felt I could have made so many different life choices if I actually wanted to be with someone like her. Instead, I ended up wasting my time in meaningless escapades. She had so much poise and although I might have met a number of girls in the past none of them actually probed me on insightful queries like she did about some choices I made in the past. She is born and brought up in Mumbai and is working in the fashion industry, actually is into manufacturing as well as branding of textile cloth.
Anyway, a close friend of mine was visiting Bombay for a day. We had decided that we'll roam around the city and have great fun. She was nearby to the cafe. In the hindsight, probably wasn't a good call. The three of us hung out for a bit and then she had to leave to meet a friend. I had an amazing time with her, and it didn't actually involve us getting inebriated or doing crazy things. I am looking forward to spending more time with her.
So is this it? Did it finally after all these years, I actually fall in the right place? Well, I mentioned that she had to meet a friend. It wasn't the case earlier, we were supposed to have dinner together. It obviously can't be my amazing personality, so either it was my crumbled post office shirt or the fact that I called my friend less than half an hour of meeting her to join us, but I never saw her again. I did go back to try the 'yogurt muesli smoothie' though. Looks can indeed be deceptive. Anyway, the show goes on.
